Summer season is here and it means only one thing, summer TV is, too. While you may not be spending much time outside this year, due to the current pandemic situation. But it’s time to beat the heat while bingeing your new shows on repeat. We have got the 5 best series for you to watch this month.
Feel Good (Netflix)
Netflix’s comedy series “Feel Good” is a British drama Television created by Mae Martin and Joe Hampson. It is a semi-autobiographical series that follows the development of George and Mae’s relationship in contemporary London. Mae is a recovering addict and Canadian standup comedian, who falls in love with George. The series is inspired by Martin’s own experiences, the series is intimated and unflinching as it is funny and strikes a fine balance between heartbreaking and hilarious. Its second and final season will air on June 4 on Netflix.
Loki (Disney+)
The Marvel Studios are back with the third live-action series on Disney+ and this time as Loki returns. Tom Hiddleston, returns to his beloved Loki, in a crime-thriller series co-starring Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Wunmi Mosaku. Although much of the series is being kept under wraps, we do know that all of this takes place after Avengers: Endgame and follows an alternative version of Loki after he’s created a new timeline. Loki has been sent to the Time Variance Authority. Loki will release on June 9 on Disney plus.

Betty (HBO)
From director Crytal Moselle, the new HBO series is based on her film Skate kitchen, where a group of young diverse women tries to navigate the male-oriented world of skateboarding in New York City, personal relationships, and their coming-of-age. The show zips its characters as they waive through traffic, parks, and over bridges on their skateboards. It is a unique show offering both scope and tone, when it slows down it takes to a new view, a laugh, and shoot the shit.
Rick and Morty (Adult Swim)
Rick and Morty is an adult animated series by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, which follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sancheznad his good-hearted but fretful incompetent grandson, Morty. After being missing for 20 years, Rick moves with his daughter’s family and works on a number of sci-fi gadgets, especially with his grandchild Morty. It’s a show you have never seen before, the writing is smart, funny, deep and has good character development and the most important thing- it’s original. The fifth season will premiere on June 20, 2021, at Adult Swim.

Tuca & Bertie (Adult Swim)
Tuca & Bertie is an animated comedy series created by cartoonist Lisa Hanawalt, that explores the odd couple and the friendship between the two 30-year old birds who live are best friends and lives in the same apartment building. Both of them are opposite to each other, one is carefree to a fault whereas the other’s too cautious and anxious for her good. The first season of the show is on Netflix but the second season will air on Adult Swin only on June 13.
