Popular American rapper Wiz Khalifa made headlines on Thursday, August 26, 2022, when his concert at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indianapolis, came to a sudden end following a possible shooting scare at around 10:30 pm.

Wiz Khalifa and the rest of his band left the stage immediately as people were seen fleeing from the venue. No shots were seen or heard at the venue, however, a police vehicle and an ambulance soon reached the scene.

The rapper performed for around 45 minutes when screams informing a possible shooting were heard, which resulted in panic and the audience fleeing from the main entrance, as well as closed gates or wired fences of the venue.

Apart from Wiz Khalifa, Fedd the God and 24kGoldn also performed at the venue on Friday night.

While the police are yet to confirm the veracity of a possible shooting, this was not the first time Wiz Khalifa faced a similar event. In 2014, a 38-year-old man was killed after being fatally wounded in a shooting at Wiz Khalifa’s concert in California.

The incident took place on Friday, August 22, 2014, after 11 pm at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Emergency responders reached the scene soon after getting calls reporting gunshots at the event to find the wounded man, who was shot multiple times. He was transported to a nearby hospital but did not survive.

Grammy-nominated rapper Young Jeezy was later arrested in connection with the shooting a few days later and was later granted bail of $1 million.

Wiz Khalifa announced the cancellation of the show on Twitter, saying the decision was taken “due to a situation out of our control.”

“This was a senseless tragedy. Violence is never the answer. My prayers go out to the victim’s family,” he tweeted.

Apart from the previously mentioned incidents, Wiz Khalifa has been subject to more shooting-related deaths in his life. His uncle, Imani Porter, was murdered in a drug-related shooting in the parking lot of a Pittsburgh fast-food restaurant in June 2015.
