Actor Tracy Morgan birthed yet another hilarious and meme-worthy
Golden Globe moment on Monday, as he went to the stage to announce the winner for
the ‘Best Original Score – Motion Picture’ category. In place of saying ‘Soul’,
winner to the category, Morgan loudly uttered ‘Sal’ in front of an unsuspecting
audience, leading to bursts of laughter only moments later.

Twitter expectedly loved it, and showered it with
appreciation.

The actor himself tweeted out his take on the goof-up.

“Sorry SOUL. I was thinking about the pizza I was going to
get from my guy SAL on the way home!!”, the actor tweeted.

The winners in the category, Trent Raznor, Atticus Ross and
Jon Batiste of ‘Soul’, a Disney Pixar movie revolving around a jazz musician, had
already started delivering their pre-recorded speech.

Coming up next on the stage, however, Don Cheadle, Nicholas
Hoult, Eugene Levy, Jason Sudeikis and Ramy Youssef made Morgan face some
banter about his inadvertent mistake.

“Nothing will ever be better than Tracy Morgan yelling
“Sal!” instead of “Soul!””, tweeted NPR show host Sam Sanders.

“So far the best part of this #GoldenGlobes has been the
zoom hang of Don Cheadle, Eugene Levy, and Jason Sudeikis making fun of Tracy
Morgan’s “Sal”. We need more candid content like that!”, opined a user.
