Jonah Hill, Timothee Chalamet, and Himesh
Patel are the latest recruits of a star-studded squad for Adam McKay’s comedy flick
‘Don’t Look Up’.

McKay’s movie, which is scheduled for release
on Netflix in 2021, and has already roped in the likes of Leonardo de Caprio, Meryl Streep,
Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett.

Streep, Caprio, Hill, Patel and Chalamet will
star opposite to Jennifer Lawrence in the movie, as per a report on news portal
The Hollywood Reporter.

Cate Blanchett and Rob Morgan have also been
cast in the movie alongside Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence. Arianda
Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Tomer Sisley will also feature in the
movie. McKay intends to use the stylistic format of cameos to populate his
feature with bold-faced names, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is still in the pre-production stage and has been written by Adam McKay. IMDB
states that the plot of the movie depicts how, a pair of astronomers try to warn everyone on Earth that a giant
meteorite will destroy the planet in six months.

Lawrence and Caprio are
slated to play the role of the two scientists.

According to The Hollywood
Reporter, McKay’s script revolves around two scientists who upon discovering
that a meteor will strike earth in six month, embark on a media tour trying to
caution the world but to their dismay the world turns a deaf ear to their findings.

The movie will start it’s
shoot on November 19 at Boston.
