A day after Suga, of the popular South Korean band BTS, tested COVID positive, fellow members RM and Jin have shared that they have got the coronavirus too. The news was confirmed by their agency, Big Hit Music, which stated that RM showed no symptoms, while Jin had displayed mild signs. Further, the agency clarified that the members had not been in contact with each other, since their return from the USA.

The statement from Big Hit says, “After returning on Friday the 17th from the United States following his personal schedule as part of his official vacation period, RM immediately underwent PCR testing, was found negative and entered into self-quarantine in his home as mandated by COVID-19 control procedures. However, he underwent PCR testing today before his scheduled release from quarantine and was found to be positive for COVID-19; he is currently exhibiting no particular symptoms.”

As for Jin, he tested negative both times after his return. However, feeling slightly unwell with flu-like symptoms, the world-famous member decided to take another test. This is when he was detected with the coronavirus. Unlike RM, Jin is displaying mild symptoms like light fever. He’s undergoing treatment at home.

Notably, both members have received their two vaccine doses and are currently not in contact with each other. They are isolating and recovering as per guidelines. Big Hit has also assured that they prioritize the health and wellbeing of the pop-culturally phenomenal band members, and are doing everything in their power to assure a speedy recovery.

The members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, had travelled to the US, where they performed at the American Music Awards, appeared on James Corden’s late-night talk show, and hosted the Permission to Dance on Stage concert at LA, which went on for four days. While there were initial talks of a show being organized in Seoul in 2022, the band announced that they’d take a break from work for a while.
