Alex Murdaugh, disgraced South Carolina attorney who is facing prison for the murders of his wife and son, has been receiving several letters from strangers.
Murdaugh was found guilty of killing his wife Maggie, 52, and younger son, Paul, 22, in June 2021. He has been sentenced to life in prison. In jail, the attorney has been receiving several love letters and friendship offers from stangers, including women from Missouri, Louisiana, Florida and Tennessee, according to local outlet Fitsnews.
“I think I love you,” a woman named Nicole K wrote on March 12, according to messages obtained by FitsNews through a public records request. “I think about you all day everyday.”

The letter is dated 10 days after a Colleton County jury convicted Murdaugh.
“I swear on my life and on my soul I’ll never say a single word to anyone important or not important. I genuinely care for you,” the letter further reads. Alex Murdaugh received the messages during his stay at the ntake facility Kirkland Correctional Institution.
A Lacie said that she is a ‘small town girl from Missouri’. and is ‘unable to get you off my mind’. Her letter was dated March 6. “I do want you to know that you are loved and cared for.”
She further expressed concern for Murdaugh’s distress: “locked in a concrete room all day, everyday.”
“I am here if you want to talk. Or vent. XXLacie,” she wrote.

After Kirkland, Murdaugh was transferred to an an undisclosed maximum-security prison. He received 26 messages in two weeks, reports said. Several of the writers offered to put cash in his commissary account. Others offered legal help.
“We feel at this point its [sic] very important to have your voice in the remember (sic) of our series,” wrote a Netflix producer, Mike Gasparino, according to Fox News. “We believe you can have the largest platform on TV if you are willing to speak to us.”
Mudaugh, however, has not responded to any of the letters.
