James Gunn is the ultimate hype man when it comes to creating buzz around comic fandoms and upcoming projects.

The Suicide Squad director has been top of his game when it comes to creating a hype over the upcoming DC FanDome virtual event on October 16.

Gunn shared a new behind-the-scenes image of Peacemaker’s panel at the DC event on Saturday to give fans an exclusive look of what’s in store for them.

The Peacemaker is the first spin-off to Gunn’s feature debut for DC, The Suicide Squad, featuring John Cena as a lead.

Gunn posted a BTS shot of the series cast who are captured while posing together for a selfie.

The director is seen with John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, and Chukwudi Iwuji.

Gunn brought his A-game when it came to hyping up the event as the director stepped up online engagement with fans, sharing exclusive content in the lead up to DC FanDome.

Gunn shared regular updates on the Peacemaker, including a poster showing John Cena’s Peacemaker on a wanted advertisement.

With The Suicide Squad, Gunn marked his entrance into the DC Extended Universe and introduced a variety of new additions to the Task Force X.

Cena’s Peacemaker was also Gunn’s gift to the movie adaptation, who is described as a “douchey version of Captain America.”

Peacemaker is slated for a January 2022 release after wrapping up production before July 2021.

In the upcoming series, Peacemaker will join hands with fellow ARGUS members John Economos, Danielle Brooks’s Leota Adebayo, Emilia Harcourt, Robert Patrick’s Auggie Smith, Freddie Stroma’s Adrian Chase/Vigilante, and Chukwudi Iwuji’s Clemson Murn to form a black-ops team to prevent an impending catastrophe.

Not just DC, but Gunn has also been on pace with updates from Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, marking his return to the MCU.

Be it answering fan questions on the GOTG 3 timeline or announcing Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, Gunn has been hard at work.
