The investigation into the January 6 insurrection by the House Select Committee has turned up new information that reveals former President Donald Trump had a premeditated plan to declare victory regardless of the election results. This strategy was created before any votes had been counted.

“As I’ve said publicly before: Trump knew he lost. Most around him knew he lost. But he chose to lie and many chose to follow him. He’s wholly unfit for future office & is a clear and present danger to American democracy,” Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former White House aide, tweeted.

She worked as the White House’s Director of Strategic Communications and the President’s Assistant in 2020, when Donald Trump was president.

Griffin contributes to CNN as a political commentator. She is a co-host of the daytime chat show The View for its 26th season.

From October 2017 to September 2019, Griffin worked as the press secretary for both U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and as Special Assistant to President Donald Trump. In 2019, she became the youngest press secretary in Pentagon history.

She served as the press secretary for the US Department of Defense and the deputy assistant to the secretary of defence for public affairs between 2019 and 2020.

Committee member and a Democrat from California Rep. Zoe Lofgren said on Thursday, ‘The evidence shows that his false victory speech was planned well in advance before any votes had been counted. It was a premeditated plan by the President to declare victory no matter what the actual result was.”

“We also interviewed Brad Parscale, President Trump’s former campaign manager. He told us he understood that President Trump planned as early as July that he would say he won the election, even if he lost,” she added.
