An Amber Alert was issued in Jefferson, Tennessee by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation after 9-year-old Carmen Acosta went missing on Saturday.

According to the information provided by officials, she was last seen Saturday evening in the area of Coile Road in Jefferson City. At the time of her disappearance, Acosta was seen wearing a red shirt and white pants. she might be accompanied by an unidentified adult male.

Acosta has been described as being 4 feet tall and weighing 90 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with any information on Acosta was requested to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 865-471-6000 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

In a separate incident, Natalie Navarro, 17, who was the subject of an AMBER Alert last week in Texas, has been located and is facing murder charges. The man initially believed to have abducted her, who remains at large, is also facing the same charges.

Navarro is expected to be charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of 21-year-old Arturo Pena, the Garland Police Department (GPD) said Friday. She was originally reported missing from an apartment complex in Far East Dallas. She was found safe in Webb County early Friday and taken into custody, Garland police said.

According to authorities, Yordy Martinez, 21, the man who was initially tied to Navarro’s possible abduction, “is still at large and wanted for murder.” He is considered armed and dangerous.
