Bernie Sanders broke the internet with his inauguration day look, displaying a bit distanced, cozy, and
anti-fashion get-up that worked up a wave of memes on the internet in recent
days.

The Vermont Senator, who
appeared on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show, was asked if he had seen the
memes on his look – starkly contrasting current and former top administrational heads such
as Joe Biden and Barack Obama – and his matter-of-fact reply turned out to be ‘Not
at all”.

This, however, did not last long as the former
Democratic candidate running for President laughingly admitted later on that he
has “seen ‘em”.

However, the real Bernie moment came when he credited the woman who had made him the mittens.

“What was really nice is the woman who made the
mittens lives in Essex Junction, Vermont, she is a schoolteacher and a very,
very nice person. She has been somewhat overwhelmed by the kind of attention
that is being shown to her mittens,” Sanders said.

He also was shown a few of the memes by Meyers,
including one with him next to the cast of ‘Sex and the City’, as well as one with
Forrest Gump on the famous wooden bench from the movie.
