US President Joe Biden is on track to deliver on his promise to reincarnate and revamp the Obamacare plan, which was originally designed to financially assist Americans who areas related to healthcare. Additional benefits will soon be available to those who need them, after registering on the US’s health care website, according to US media reports.

The news comes in after US lawmakers approved increased spending on health subsidies in the country, an initiative called by a majority of the lawmakers a necessity in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Subscribers to the Affordable Care Act health plan will receive boosted assistance in paying the relevant premiums of the plan. Those who have not signed up for the ACA plan, including those who have no active insurance plan, will also be eligible to avail selected benefits, reported New York Times.

About six million Americans will be able to access free of cost health plans, premium payments of which will be completely covered by the government, while more than a quarter of people would be eligible for government-provided assistance after signing up.

The Biden administration will also be focusing on the awareness about the new initiative after a sum of $100 million has been set aside for advertising, almost twice the previous amount.
