The stage is all set for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, a night that could turn historic for Taylor Swift.

The 32-year-old singer is nominated for seven awards, including two nods in the Top Country Album category for her re-recordings of Red and Fearless.

Swift could break a record at the ceremony, leaving behind Drake who is known to be the most decorated artist in BBMAs history.

Taylor earlier held the title, but she was overtaken by the Canadian rapper in 2019 when he took home 12 awards.

If Swift wins in all the categories, it will bring her total number to 32 trophies—more than what it needs to beat out Drake’s current standing of 28 wins.

However, the face-off between both the singer and the rapper could be big as Drake is also looking to add to his collection with 11 nominations.

The two are also head to head in two categories: Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist.

But, despite the competition, the duo have no bad blood between them as they both have been all praises for each other over the years.

In 2011, Drake wrote in a tweet that he was “so proud” of Swift. Five years later, the duo starred in two Apple Music commercials in which they lip-synced to each other’s songs.

Meanwhile, Taylor gave a shoutout to the “Hotline Bling” artist in her 2019 track “I Forgot That You Existed,” singing, “In my feelings more than Drake.”

Most recently, Drake posted an Instagram photo of himself hugging the “Bad Blood” artist, writing, “They too soft to understand the meaning of hard work.”

The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The show will air live beginning at 8 p.m. EST on NBC and its Peacock streaming service.
