Brian Szasz, stepson of billionaire Hamish Harding, who went missing along with four others when a submersible en route to tour the Titanic wreckage, lost all contact with the surface on Sunday, has lately been in the news for all the wrong reasons.

As his stepfather is fighting for his life 12,000 feet in the depth of the Atlantic Ocean, with a little less than 20 hours of breathable air left in the submersible named Titan, owned by OceanGate Expeditions, and a frantic search and rescue mission is being conducted, Szasz shared a picture of himself on Tuesday attending a Blink 182 concert on Facebook and then deleted the same after receiving backlash on social media.

On Wednesday, he was reportedly flirting with an OnlyFans model on Twitter, which further generated scathing comments against him. People on social media are calling him out for wanting clout as he had initially showed much concern for his stepfather’s ordeal, writing after his disappearance on Facebook on Monday: “Thoughts and prayers for my stepfather Hamish Harding as his submarine has gone missing exploring Titanic. A search and rescue mission is underway. Thoughts and prayers for my mom and Hamish Harding.”

One of the Twitter users has pointed out that Brian Szasz might not be that close to his stepfather after all. “Brian Szasz has tons of pictures of his biological dad on his fb (none of stepfather/mom) so I’m going to ‘assume’ he was not close with his step-dad. Hence why he went to a concert and is posting what he is posting. Is he doing it for clout? Maybe. Either way, everyone handles things differently. We may not agree but it is what it is,” the user wrote.

Other internet sleuths also dug into his social media activity from the past and found some unflattering information about him. Apparently, he self-admitted to going to prison.

Moreover, in July 2021, a number of women called Szasz out for sending several texts, tweeting threats, and terrorizing messages to women in the rave community.

After being called out for harassment, Szasz reportedly posted several tweets threatening people of a “massacre” at the Excision and Illenium’s Trilogy. The concert was scheduled to happen in Las Vegas at the time. He reportedly tweeted that he found it funny that women thought that they would be safe at the venue and instead he would be confronting them there.

The threat was also registered by teams of Excision and Illenium. “@flipsickle @Excision Yes, my team and I are aware of the situation and are working with authorities and the stadium on it. My #1 priority at any of my shows is for fans to feel safe. We take all threats seriously and anyone making them will be reported to police and not allowed into the venue,” Illenium wrote in a tweet at the time.

Szasz’s tickets to the event were canceled and security was increased. On June 30 a Twitter user wrote that a man, believed to be Szasz, has been arrested for stalking and is in the custody of San Diego PD, charged with a felony with a $100,000 bond.
