‘Butter’, a peppy track by South Korean music band BTS has topped the Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs Chart, after SB19’s ‘Bazinga’ reigned as the top track for seven consecutive weeks. The chart comprises new pop releases, music festivals, awards, and other events.  

The BTS track has topped the list for a total of seven weeks. The dance number leads with over 9.7 million mentions on Twitter in the week of January 21 to January 27. 

Earlier, it had topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks since last June, as well as the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. survey for five weeks.   

BTS and SB19 are the only Korean bands in the chart’s history to bag the number one position.

Billboard charts took to Twitter to share its top 10 list. The list also includes ‘Slow Mo’ by Bambam, ‘Fly Away’ by Dimash, ‘Before 4:30’ by Mew Suppasit and Sam Kim, ‘Gifted’ by Be:First, ‘Polaroid Love’ by Enhypen, ‘Super Tuna’ by Jin, ‘Be With Me’ by Dimash, and ‘Yours’ by Jin. 

Uploaded a day ago, the tweet has garnered over 93,000 likes and over 32,000 retweets. One user wrote, “more butter please. Currently Streaming to #BTS_Butter by #BTS @BTS_twt the best song of all time.”

Another user added, “the reality is that this #1 has always belonged to BTS, only Army was busy listening to the boys’ discography so we didn’t give importance to this chart.But don’t worry, we are back with no problem.”

‘Butter’ has garnered a whopping 684 million views on YouTube since its release. 

The Korean pop band has seven members, namely, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Some of the most popular tracks of the band include ‘Dynamite’, ‘Fake Love’, ‘Life Goes On’, and ‘Blood Sweat & Tears’.

The band has a massive fan following on social media platforms, and has several fan accounts.
