Ellen Moore, the Expo Director for the California International Marathon said, “We are requiring that all runners have completed the two shot vaccine series or have provided a negative COVID test within 72 hours of race day. “

One can expect several road closures in the Sacramento Area. California International Marathon (CIM) has recommended using the Waze App to receive regular updates about the schedule for road closure as the same is expected to change on the date of the race. One should leave room for extra travel time as there are likely to be changes in the routes of buses 11, 21, 23, 25, 26, 30, 38, 51, 62, 67, 68, 82, 84, 86, 87, 88 and 142.

According to the official marathon website, more than 10,000 athletes will be participating this year on the streets of Folsom and Sacramento.
