Ron DeSantis’ wife, Casey DeSantis was compared to former first lady Melania Trump after she made a political statement through her choice of style while on the presidential campaign trail in Iowa with her husband on Saturday.

The first lady of Sunshine State donned a black leather jacket emblazoned with the words “Where woke goes to die.” Inside the words was an outline of the map of Florida with an alligator on its back. She wore the jacked at a charity biker rally in Des Moines, Iowa for a GOP event.

The outfit was meant to be an homage to one of her husband’s key campaign promises, which is to end “woke” ideology. Her 44-year-old husband also reiterated his commitment in a speech to his supporters at the event. He also signed Bibles and hats

Ron DeSantis, 44, reiterated his commitment in a speech to his supporters at the event, where he also signed Bibles and hats. “We will wage war on the woke,” DeSantis said. “We will fight the woke in education; we will fight the woke in corporations; we will fight in the halls of Congress. We will never ever surrender to the woke mob.”

After Casey’s jacket went viral on social media, many people drew comparisons to Melania Trump’s green hooded Zara jacket she wore on a 2018 trip to visit migrant children in Texas. The words “I really don’t care do u?” were written on the back of Melania’s jacket.
