Chandler police are investigating a shooting at the fashion centre near Chandler Boulevard and Loop 101. They tweeted that the police are “investigating a shooting at the Chandler Fashion Mall that happened outside. No victims have been located. This is NOT an active shooter incident. The suspects left prior to police arrival. No danger to the community or mall at this time. Ongoing investigation.”
Some tweets indicate that the shooting might have happened inside the mall and not outside as the police claim.
“BRO I WAS AT CHANDLER MALL DURING THE SHOOTING BRO IT WAS NOT OUTSIDE IT WAS INSIDE AND CLOSE ASF TO ME WTF YALL TALKING ABOUT”, said Amber Weber, responding to the Chandler PD tweet.
Another Twitter user noted, “Very grateful Joyce and I made it out of the shooting at chandler mall tonight. All I can say is what is wrong with people …”

The incident also brought out stories of human courage and bonds, when a Twitter user thanked another for running into the mall at a critical time and asking their friends to leave. They weren’t answering the phones so the person “stormed” through the doors to check if they were safe.
The individual replied to the message of thanks saying they didn’t care much for the shooting but wanted to check up on the group who were apparently “fantasizing about the artichoke dip” at the mall.

The police are on the lookout for suspects but there’ve been no arrests made yet. Just a few days back, there was a shooting at the Arizona Mills Mall. The incidents shine a light on gun problems in the US, with states like Arizona having extremely lax rules when it comes to gun ownership.
