Clarence Thomas had a remarkably distinguished legal career, earning him fame and popularity. He worked numerous jobs after graduating college. In 1974 he was the assistant attorney of Missouri under John Danforth.
In 1981, he was the U.S. Department of Education’s assistant secretary. For this job, he was nominated by President Ronald Reagan.
