Gun violence stuck Clayton County, Georgia, once again as a person was found shot multiple times inside a motel on early Wednesday morning. The police are looking for the shooter, who has since fled the scene.

The victim was found at a motel on the 600 block of Southside Commercial Parkway in Clayton County, Georgia. Law enforcement officers responded to a shooting report in the area followed by medics, who transported the person to a nearby hospital. Information regarding the victim, including the person’s identity or current condition, has not been released by the authorities.

According to the investigating officers, the person, who is being suspected as the shooter, was witnessed leaving the motel in a silver Honda Accord that had no license plates. The police are yet to uncover the identity of the assailant or the reason behind the shooting incident on early Wednesday morning.

The Clayton County Police Department has urged residents to come forward if they have information regarding the shooting.

The incident comes after only a day after a man was found inside a hotel room in Clayton County with a firearm and drugs. The man was identified as Willie Coleman, 62, has been arrested and information has come to light that he is also a convicted felon.

Clayton County has also witnessed several shooting incidents in the past few months. In August, a person was killed following a triple-shooting at a gas station in Clayton County. Another incident in the county saw a dispute between two brothers end with one being killed.

The brother who was killed was identified as Demond Snider, 25. The shooter was identified as Demontavious Snider, 22, who is the brother of Demond. Demontavious has since been arrested by the police and is currently facing several charges, including aggravated assault, malice murder and possession of a weapon.
