Former “Saturday Night Live” writer and comedian John Mulaney and his wife Anna Marie Tendler, an artist and author, are ending their marriage, according to US media reports.

Following Tendler’s famous declaration that she would marry Mulaney in 2010 shortly after the couple met while on a group vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, the couple married in July 2014 in upstate New York.

“John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work,” a representative for Mulaney told Page Six.

Tendler too issued a statement through her spokesperson saying, “I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”

Reportedly, the Emmy winner was in a rehab facility in Pennsylvania for 60 days back in December. He sought treatment for a cocaine and alcohol addiction relapse and left the facility in February.

In an Esquire cover story, the Emmy-winner said his drinking started as a teen and it led him to try cocaine and prescription drugs.

However, in early May, the 38-year-old announced his return to the stage with a five-day performance residency called “John Mulaney: From Scratch,” taking place from May 10 to May 14.

The shows sold out within minutes.
