A new statue of Batman, DC’s Dark Knight, has been erected in California’s Burbank that weighs around 600 pounds. The new statue was unveiled on Sunday, the work on which is based on DC chief creative officer Jim Lee’s rendition of the Batman character from the comic book storyline “Hush.”

The seven-and-a-half foot tall statue was created by digital sculptor Alejandro Pereira Ezcurra, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The statue, crafted by American Fine Arts Foundry and Fabrication, is installed at the AMC Walkway of downtown Burbank. DC and Visit Burbank partnered together to install the statue in the city.

Starting in  2002, “Hush”, a bestseller, ran in issues 608 through 619 of DC’s primary Batman title and ended a year later. The story was written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Jim Lee and Scott Williams and the comic book was reprinted in different editions and collections in the years since.
