Police responded to reports of a shooting near the Lobster Claw II restaurant in Derry, New Hampshire on Wednesday.

Local media reports said that the shooting took place around 5:45 PM. It left one person with critical injuries. The injured person was taken to Eliot Hospital in Manchester for treatment.

The gunman is believed to still be on the loose. According to available information, the suspect was described as white in a light blue sweatshirt. He may be driving a green Subaru Forester or a silver Cadillac, both with New Hampshire registrations. The man was reportedly in a “schizophrenic state,” according to a BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) alert. According to some sources, the police have identified the suspect but have withheld the information for officer safety.
