During a lengthy campaign rally in South Carolina, Donald Trump slammed the latest federal indictment against him, Special Counsel Jack Smith, and the Biden administration’s rules.
Trump addressed supporters at a GOP dinner on Saturday night, only days after being accused and arraigned on four federal counts linked to his alleged conspiracy to disrupt the 2020 election.
“We call it a sham indictment,” he remarked. “They’re attempting to make it illegal to contest election results.”
He then launched an attack on Smith, labelling him “mentally ill,” “deranged,” and “a sick man.”

Later in his rally speech, the former president went on an odd tangent about bathing and his “gorgeous head of hair.”
The court handling Trump’s election case ordered his legal team to reply to prosecutors’ request for a protection order, which was spurred by a reportedly menacing post on Truth Social, by Monday evening.
Earlier, Donald Trump called Mike Pence “delusional” when it was discovered that the former vice president had a key part in the latest federal case against him.
After being indicted with four federal crimes relating to his alleged conspiracy to overthrow the 2020 election and the ensuing attack on the Capitol, Trump appeared to be attempting to do damage control on Truth Social.
“Liddle’ Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor of Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side,” Trump wrote on Saturday.
“I never informed a suddenly emboldened (based on his 2% poll ratings!) Pence that I was above the Constitution or that Mike was ‘too honest.’ “He’s delusional, and now he wants to prove he’s a tough guy,” Trump added.
The ex-vice president and 2024 candidate has started selling goods with the phrase “Too honest” – something Trump allegedly told Pence after he refused to participate in a conspiracy to illegally decertify election results.
