In the post, Trump slammed Joe Biden and wrote, “CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT I HAD TO FLY TO A FILTHY, DIRTY, FALLING APART, & VERY UNSAFE WASHINGTON, D.C., TODAY, & THAT I WAS THEN ARRESTED BY MY POLITICAL OPPONENT, WHO IS LOSING BADLY TO ME IN THE POLLS, CROOKED JOE BIDEN, IT WAS A VERY GOOD DAY!”

Joe Biden came under fire from Donald Trump in a post on Truth Social where he complained about having to drive to a “filthy, dirty, falling apart, and very unsafe” Washington, D.C., for the arraignment hearing. He continued to disparage Biden, his rival for the vice presidency, saying that the polls show that he is losing ground. It was a really good day, Trump said as he ended the post.

Donald Trump was indicted on Tuesday as part of the investigation by special counsel Jack Smith regarding his attempts to rig the election prior to the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. He was charged with conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding in addition to conspiring to defraud the United States, obstructing and attempting to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiring against rights.

The special counsel Jack Smith’s office did not ask that Donald Trump be detained pending trial during the proceedings. The former president will instead be subject to limited parole requirements, such as a prohibition on meeting with any known witnesses without first getting permission from his lawyer.

Trump stepped up during the court hearing and raised his right hand, swearing to uphold the terms of his release. He also acknowledged his agreement to abide by the conditions by signing the necessary papers.
