Donald Trump’s wife Melania celebrated her 53rd birthday on Wednesday, April 26. However, Twitter users noticed that the former President did not wish her.
Melania Trump, as per PEOPLE’s source, is expected to celebrate her birthday with her family at their residence Mar-a-Lago. However, as per the report, Donald Trump might miss the celebration.
“Melania likes a low-key celebration with family and that I believe is her plan for this year’s birthday,” the source told PEOPLE.
Donald Trump was arraigned last month on hush money charges. On Tuesday, his former advice columnist E. Jean Carroll accused him of rape and defamation.
Trump became the first current or former president in US history to face criminal charges. He appeared in a Manhattan court and pled not guilty to 34 felony counts. He has been accused of falsifying business records in the case involving adult film star Stormy Daniels.
“If Donald is here, he will be joining the family to celebrate his wife’s birthday. Despite what you hear, the Trumps are a close family,” the PEOPLE source added.
However, Twitter users noticed that Donald Trump has not wished Melania.
“Trump has made about 30 posts today. Not one about Melania’s birthday though. Not to worry, Lindsey’s got it covered,” a Twitter user said.
Another source told PEOPLE: “Don’t be fooled by the former president’s outspoken manner and dominant influence on those around him. He respects and admires his wife.”
“He wants to make Melania happy. They have a more than suitable partners arrangement.”
E Jean Carroll testified on Wednesday in the civil trial of the former president for alleged battery and defamation.
“I’m here because Donald Trump raped me,” she said.
