Former US President Donald Trump said that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided his Mar-a-Lago residence, and even broke into a safe. The announcement, which came as a statement, blamed the Democratic Party and even had Trump suggest that it was linked to his 2024 Presidential campaign.

The Republican, who’s bolstered strong and significant support within the GOP, soon had many mouthpieces slamming the move and championing the 45th President of the United States.

Ronna McDaniel, chair of the GOP, said “Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Countless times we have examples of Democrats flouting the law and abusing power with no recourse, including Hunter Biden. Democrats continually weaponize the bureaucracy against Republicans. This raid is outrageous.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Congresswoman from Georgia, said “Elections are how Americans solve political differences. Not by radicalizing our federal law enforcement to take political enemies out. This is why we must protect election integrity.”

She also added that what’s happening wouldn’t be tolerated, and ended her message, saying, “We are coming”.

Kevin McCarthy, the GOP representative from California, noted that the Department of Justice – which issues directives to the FBI – has reached “an intolerable state of weaponized politicization”.

He added, “Attorney General Garland: preserve your documents and clear your calendar”, warning that once the Republicans were back in power, they’d seek accountability for events such as these.

Lauren Boebert from Colorado, said “Biden’s FBI just raided the house of the man most likely to be the Republican Presidential nominee in 2024…on top of all the other fake investigations into President Trump. Stop weaponizing federal agencies to distract from your own failed agenda!”

Urging others to raise their voice, she added “Everyone saying “a judge signed off on the FBI’s search warrant” clearly won’t admit that the entire Deep State hates President Trump and would sign off on ANYTHING to hurt him.”

The Republican continued, “The GOP must set up a Select Committee to investigate the FBI’s politically-motivated raid on Mar-a-Lago and on ALL the fraudulent persecution of President Trump from our government. This cannot wait. We are turning into a banana republic at record speed”, and even called the DoJ the Department of Injustice.

Meanwhile, Watergate and FBI historian Garrett M. Graff noted that the warrant would have received a sign-off only if the DoJ and FBI knew they had enough evidence.
