Donald Trump spent more than six hours at Attorney General Letitia James‘ Manhattan offices on Wednesday. The former President decided to post a review of James’ “plush office” just hours after a deposition that could have tied him to federal crimes.

Trump wrote a note on TruthSocial, describing the Attorney General’s office as “very plush, beautiful and expensive.” He added, “Nice working conditions, as people are being murdered all over New York – and she spends her time and effort on trying to ‘get Trump.”

Donald Trump left the office premises around 3:30 PM on Wednesday and said that his meeting was “very professional”. He also praised his “fantastic” company.

The questioning brought him face-to-face with an official he had called an “out-of-control prosecutor” and a racist. James, a Democrat, is the first Black person to hold her post.

While the Attorney General’s office provided little information about the deposition, one of Trump’s lawyers Ronald Fischetti told the New York Times about the questioning. He said that the former President answered one question, about his name, read a statement into the record in which he questioned James’ motives, then invoked the Fifth Amendment. Trump then said “same answer” to every question he was asked over several hours

Hours before reaching the New York offices of James, Trump released four ads on his social media platform. These short videos called out Letitia James’ “radical witch hunt” against him.

Trump has had a turbulent week. Mar-a-Lago, his Florida residence, was raided by FBI officials who were reportedly searching for confidential documents that the former President may have brought along with him from the White House.

The New York deposition was originally scheduled for July 15, but was delayed after Trump’s ex-wife Ivana Trump died.
