As the defamation and rape lawsuit against former President Donald Trump proceeds, the spotlight is on the nine-person jury responsible for deciding his fate. Recently, their media consumption habits were called into question, and it was discovered that they obtained news from a diverse array of sources.

One of the jurors for Donald trump’s trial- a security guard, 31, from the Bronx, said he got news and information from podcasts. He particularly listened to one by Tim Pool, a controversial right-wing commentator.

A Manhattan federal jury found that Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll in a luxury department store dressing room in the spring of 1996 and awarded her $5 million for battery and defamation. However, the jury did not find him liable for her alleged rape.

In the case brought forth by author and advice columnist E. Jean Carroll, the lawyers were keenly interested in the news sources of the potential jurors. The judge presiding over the case made it a point to inquire about the media consumption habits of each candidate during the jury selection process, with the intention of selecting a diverse panel.

The jury tasked with reaching a verdict in the high-profile legal case includes individuals from diverse backgrounds and professions. Among them are a 37-year-old father hailing from Westchester County, a 26-year-old retail worker residing in Manhattan, a 64-year-old physical therapist mother from the Bronx, and a 62-year-old Spanish-speaking mother, also from the Bronx.

The panel also includes a 55-year-old mother employed in a health care facility’s collections department and a 60-year-old father from Upstate New York. With such a range of experiences and perspectives, the jury is poised to provide a well-informed and fair judgment in the case at hand.
