Elon Musk on Thursday announced that he has found a new CEO for X/Twitter. The 51-year-old added that he will make a transition to an executive chair and CTO role.

Musk, however, did not name the new CEO. He said that she will start in approximately six weeks. His new role will be overseeing product, software, and system operations.

“Excited to announce that I’ve a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops,” Musk said on Twitter.

Tesla stocks jumped more than 2% after the announcement.

Musk was acting as the microblogging platform’s CEO since acquiring it in a $44 billion deal. Only last month, the Tesla founder announced that his dog has replaced him.

Elon Musk’s dog is a Shiba Inu and is named Floki.

Musk was asked about his ‘should I step down as CEO’ poll during a BBC interview. He said, “I did stand down. I keep telling you I’m not the CEO of Twitter, my dog is the CEO of Twitter.”

Now that Musk has a new CEO coming, social media users wondered what would Floki do.

“Congratulations on the new CEO for X/Twitter,@elonmusk! Speaking of CEOs, what would the position for our favourite doge, #Floki, be going forward? 🤔” a Twitter user asked.

“maybe floki should be ceo of tesla or spaces?” another one wondered.

Several memes of Elon Musk as a woman circulated on social media.

Earlier in the day, Twitter engineer Foad Dabiri sparked concerns over the use of WhatsApp. He claimed that the instant messaging application constantly used the microphone while he was asleep.

Musk reacted to the claim.

“Trust Nothing, Not even nothing,” Musk tweeted.
