A day after
Donald Trump called Elon Musk “another bullsh*t artist,” the world’s richest
man wrote on Twitter: “I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up
his hat & sail into the sunset. Dems should also call off the attack – don’t
make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.” Musk wrote
the tweet in response to an article reporting Trump’s comments on Musk by
Breitbart News.

Musk went
on to tweet: “Trump would be 82 at the end of term, which is too old to be
chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America. If
DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis doesn’t need to win – he doesn’t
even need to campaign.”

Musk’s
comments on Donald Trump come after Trump slammed Musk at a rally in Alaska on
Saturday for being inconsistent. Trump, referring to Elon Musk’s recent comment
that he never voted Republican until this June, Trump said the comment
contradicted what Musk had told him.

The
quibble, Trump’s attack and Musk’s response, brings to light how the
relationship between these two pals has soured. Donald Trump had once called
Musk “one of our greatest geniuses,” comparing him to Thomas Edison, according
to Newsweek. From there, calling Musk a “bulls*it” artist has been a bit of a
journey.

Trump’s
comments at the Alaska rally came after Musk tweeted that his vote for Mayra
Flores, who won a Texas special election, was the “first time I voted
Republican.” The world’s richest man further said he has voted “overwhelmingly
for Democrats” in the past and “might have never voted Republican.”

“You know,
he said the other day ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican,’” Trump said. “I
said, ‘I didn’t know that.’ He told me he voted for me. So he’s another
bulls*it artist.”
