Hollywood studio Universal has delivered a piece of good news for its fans as it announced that the 10th installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise will open in US theatres on April 7, 2023. The movie, a chapter of the “Fast and Furious” saga, was earlier scheduled for release on April 2, 2021.
According to Variety, “Fast and Furious 10” will debut on April 7, 2023. The film, which is the second to last movie in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, will be directed by Justin Lin.

Originally, the film was scheduled for release on April 2 of this year, but that spot was taken by “F9” due to delays related to the novel coronavirus pandemic, and later pushed back to June 25.
Though the franchise did not reveal the cast yet, it is expected that Vin Diesel will return, along with Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez.
According to media reports, Dwayne Johnson is not set to return to the franchise, and it is unclear whether John Cena will reprise his role as Jakob Toretto.
The release of “F9” has helped to match the box office during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the film grossing over $170 million in the United States and over $500 million globally.

The film also received mixed reviews from various critics. But the “Fast and Furious” films continue to be an audience favorite, with the film reaching an average rating of B+ on CinemaScore.
This franchise, which began in 2001, has made USD 6.3 billion globally. It also includes the earnings of the 2019 movie spinoff “Hobbs & Shaw”, starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
In Fast and Furious 9, the actors were seen as Vin Diesel playing Dominic Toretto along with Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson playing Roman Pearce, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Charlize Theron as Cipher.
In the film, the biggest highlight for the fans was the epic face-off between Vin Diesel and John Cena. The former wrestler is playing Jakob Toretto, a highly-skilled assassin and Dom’s brother/enemy.
