Hillary Clinton said that she would not launch another bid for the White House in 2024. The 74-year-old has previously had two failed presidential campaigns– one in 2008 and the other in 2016. Clinton, however, said that she wants former US President Donald Trump “soundly defeated” if he runs for the White House.
Trump, a Republican, is a former electoral rival of Clinton. Both won their party’s presidential primary. Trump won the election in 2016 and Hillary Clinton bowed out.

“I am gonna do everything I can to make sure that we have a president who respects our democracy and the rule of law and upholds our institutions”, Hilary Clinton told CBS News.
Referring to Republican politicians, Clinton said, “Grow a backbone. Stand up to this guy. And heaven forbid if he gets the nomination, he needs to be defeated roundly and sent back to Mar-a-Lago.”
Donald Trump is yet to announce his bid for the Oval Office. He has also dropped several hints on his social media platforms and public addresses. Current US President Joe Biden has also not publicly spoken about his intention to run in 2024.
Hillary Clinton has held multiple crucial positions over the last two decades. She first became the United States First Lady after her husband and now former President Bill Clinton took office in 1993.

She then launched her own bid for the US Senate and contested from New York. Hillary Clinton served as a Senator from January 3, 2001 to January 21, 2009. She also contested the presidential primaries in 2008.
Hillary Clinton was appointed as the United States Secretary of State in 2009 by then-President Barack Obama. She was succeded by John Kerry. Hillary Clinton launched her second bid for the White House in 2016 and came close to winning.
