A Friends fan has dug up a magazine article straight from the past. It predicted what the cast would look like 20 years after the end of the show.

When the show ended in 2004, a magazine Photoshopped the faces of the cast to mock how ageing would look on Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry.

Well, the predictions were far removed from being polite.

Let’s just say that the magazine’s prediction was way off.

In a highly anticipated reunion episode recently, The Friends cast reunited for the one-off non-scripted special in May, marking their first time together on TV since the sitcom ended in 2004.

The special saw many revelations and surprises unfold, including Lisa’s Smelly Cat duet with Lady Gaga. G stars including James Michael Tyler and Elliot Gould shared their fond memories of the show, while A-list fans including Justin Bieber, BTS, David Beckham and Malala Yousafzai also made an appearance on the show.

Best Moments of the special

The cast reminisced about their onset moments. Matt LeBlanc recalled how Courteney Cox would scribble her lines on the kitchen table, beside the fruit bowl.

“You had this big speech,” he said, “you were struggling with it all week long, and you wrote it on the table. And when you weren’t looking I erased it and you got so mad at me!” Cox recalled: “I had so much dialogue hidden in these apples.”

Matthew Perry went on to express how he was worried that he might not make his audience laugh and said, “I felt like I was going to die if they didn’t laugh. And it’s not healthy, for sure. But I would sometimes say a line and they wouldn’t laugh and I would sweat, and go into convulsions. If I didn’t get the laugh I was supposed to get, I would freak out. I felt like that every single night.”
