Gina Carano, who is known for her exceptional performance in ‘The Mandalorian’ was made to step down from the show over her controversial social media post. Her remarks on Instagram comparing the treatment one gets as a Republican in United States is similar to the scenario what Jews faced in Nazi Germany didn’t go well with the fans. According to Lucasfilm’s spokesperson, she “is not currently employed” by them and that “there are no plans for her to be in the future”, reported AP.

He added that her posts were “denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.” The post has now been deleted.

Gina has made a lot many controversial remarks in the past on her social media handles.

On November 15, 2020, she tweeted a picture and mocked wearing mask amid the coronavirus pandemic and another one in which she made a statement regarding fraud means taking place in the 2020 presidential election without any proof. 

She has also been called a transphobic because of her attitude towards gender identities and pronouns. Many online users found it offensive when she mentioned ”beep/bop/boop” on social media yet again mocking an initiative to spread awareness amongst the people related to gender sensitisation.
