GOP and House of Representative member Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has often been in the middle of controversial political matters in the United States, drew parallels between World War II’s holocaust of the Jewish community to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s mask policy inside the House chamber.
The remarks were later criticised by Jewish groups.
In David Brody’s show ‘The Water Cooler’, the Georgia Representative said the House Speaker is a hypocrite for making lawmakers prove their COVID-19 vaccination status in line with her mask policy.
She said, “You know, we can look back at a time in history where people were told to wear a gold star, and they were definitely treated like second-class citizens, so much so that they were put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany.
She added, “And this is exactly the type of abuse that Nancy Pelosi is talking about”, reported CNN.
Representative Peter Meijer, a GOP Representative from the state of Michigan, lashed out on Marjorie Taylor Greene’s comments.
