Comedian Louis CK has been nominated in the upcoming Grammy 2022 awards nearly a year after being at the centre of a sexual misconduct controversy, according to media reports. The 54-year-old was nominated for the ‘Best Comedy Album’ award.

‘Sincerely Louis CK’, a comedy special released in 2020, is the same one where he joked about the sexual misconduct. The comedy project has been nominated for the Grammy award.

According to reports from The Rolling Stone, Louis CK was accused of sexual misconduct by nearly half a dozen women in 2017, to which the comedian said, those In 2017, several women accused C.K. of sexual misconduct, to which the comedian said, the “stories are true.”

He also reportedly spoke publicly about the misconduct. He said in a statement at a comedy show, “I like j***ing off, I do not like being alone, that is all I can tell you”, according to media reports.

He added, “I get lonely, it is just sad. I like company. I like to share. I am good at it, too. If you are good at juggling, you would not do it alone in the dark. You would gather folks and amaze them.”

Louis CK has been nominated in the Best Comedy Album category, which also features stars like Kevin Hart, Nate Bargatze, Lavell Crawford, Chelsea Handler and Lewis Black.

In the Grammy nominee release for the 2022 ceremony, cancel culture seems to be ineffective. Controversial figures like Dave Chappelle and Marilyn Manson also received nominations from The National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Chappelle is a nominee in the Best Spoken Word Album category for ‘8:46’ while Manson’s guest appearance on Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ album led to him getting nominated in the Album of the Year category.
