The University declared a curfew on the campus from 9:30 pm to 6 am until further notice and the homecoming events, as well as classes, have also been on Monday and Tuesday.

However, this is not the first shooting incident to take place in this university, let alone Louisiana.

On Wednesday, at least one person died and three others were severely injured in a separate shooting incident inside the campus.

The university at that time released a statement saying that two gunmen broke inside the university and were not enrolled with the school.

According to Louisiana state police, one of the suspects in the Wednesday shooting was identified as Jatavious Carroll, 18, but has not yet been taken into custody.

The agency is investigating both Grambling State shootings.

Meanwhile, three constable deputies were ambushed outside a bar in Houston, Texas by a man with an AR-15-style rifle on Saturday in another latest incident of gun violence in the United States left one killed and two others wounded.

Authorities detained one person near the scene but he is not believed to be the shooter, according to the Houston Police Department which is investigating the shooting.

On Tuesday, another incident of gun violence resulted in the death of two US Postal Service workers in Memphis.

The continuous brutal incidents in the United States suggest that gun violence, which has been a contentious debate for a long time is at all-time high.
