Anonymous, the international hacker group, has launched action figures and a sex toy resembling former US President Donald Trump. The tweet in which the announcement was made says that the action figures have been “hand-crafted” ” by an Anon who uses the utmost precision & skill for ultimate detail!”

Besides the action figures, Anonymous has also released a sex toy with Trump’s face on it. The toy can be bought for $250 in NFTs. The tweet refers to the product as possibly a “Great Griftmas gift for the MAGA patriot in your life!”

The YourAnonNews Twitter account had come into prominence during the Black Lives Matter movement, when they said that they would expose the “many crimes” of the Minneapolis Police Department after the death of George Floyd at the hands of former police officer Derek Chauvin. The account currently has eight million followers.

Another account claiming to be associated with Anonymous, AnonNewz, was removed from Twitter in June 2020 because it was indulging in “spam and coordination with other spammy accounts,” according to a spokesperson who revealed the information to Reuters.
Anonymous is a decentralised organisation with no leadership, and thus it becomes difficult to pinpoint any particular official Twitter account they have.
Anonymous were also active during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, when they tweeted from the YourAnonNews account, “Our operations are targeting the Russian government. There is an inevitability that the private sector will most likely be affected too.”
The group was included in Time magazine’s 2012 list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. However, public opinion about them continues to vary. While some call them activists, others are of the opinion that they are “a cyber lynch-mob”.
