The
Highland Park shooting suspect, Robert ‘Bobby’ E Crimo, was a rap musician
whose songs often featured ruminations on mass killings, information has
surfaced. Crimo, 22-years-old, was arrested after he was suspected of shooting
at people at random during a Fourth of July parade. Seven people died in the
shootout, six at the spot and the seventh at a hospital. Several people were
injured.

1.       “Awake”

Robert ‘Bobby’
E Crimo’s rapper stage name was ‘Awake’. In one of his animated videos, a
shooter, the protagonist, is seen shooting at people before finally being shot
down by the police. “I just want to scream. Sometimes it feels like I’m living
a dream,” Awake, sings in the video.

2.       Need to leave

In another
video, Crimo is seen standing next to an American flag wearing a bulletproof
vest inside a classroom and throwing bullets on the floor. “I need to leave
now. I need to do it. It is my destiny,” the voiceover says.

3.       Social-sensitive

In another
of his videos, Crimo is heard saying: “I hate when others get more attention
than me on the internet.”

4.       Censored

Since his
arrest, Crimo’s music has been removed from YouTube and Spotify. Archived
photos from one of his accounts show Crimo at a Trump rally.

5.       Second cop visit

Last year,
Crimo was visited by law enforcement officials after he reportedly attempted
suicide. He was reported to have said that he was going to “kill everyone,”
which prompted the cops to visit him.

The six
people who were killed
in course of the shooting have been identified as:
Stephen Strauss, 88, a Chicago-based financial adviser; Jacquelyn Sundheim, 63,
a congregant; Nicolas Toledo-Zaracoda, a Mexican national and the only non-resident
to die in the attack; Katherine Goldstein, 64 and Irina and Kevin McCarthy.
