A shooting near a nightclub in Hollywood, South Carolina on Memorial Day left one dead and five others injured on Monday, which marked the Memorial Day for the nation.

The county sheriff’s office said Tuesday that no arrests have been made in Monday night’s shooting. “CCSO responded about 9:50 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting near Storage Road and Church Hill Road in the Hollywood area. Deputies confirmed multiple people had been shot. The deputies are investigating, and no arrests have been made. One person has died as a result of the shooting. Deputies continue to sort out details,” the Charleston County Sherrif’s Office tweeted.

After a report of gunfire and multiple shooting victims near an intersection at about 9:50 p.m., the deputies responded to the scene. They found multiple shooting victims near the intersection of Church Hill Road and Storage Road.

A victim found inside a car was pronounced dead at the scene. The other five victims were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. None of them sustained life-threatening injuries.

Forensic investigators are aiding the deputies in determining the cause of the shooting. Two hours before the shooting took place, deputies reportedly responded to the same area after receiving reports of a large crown on Storage Road. They found no unlawful activity at the time, but just a neighborhood party.
