House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, reportedly pled guilty to one count of the DUI charge against him. The 82-year-old has avoided jail time for the May 28 crash in Napa, California.

However, he will have to complete eight hours of a court work program, a three-month drinking and driving course, as per court documents obtained by TMZ. An ignition interlock device will be put on his car for a year. He also has to pay a $150 fine.

Pelosi was sentenced to three years probation and five days of jail time. The real estate and venture capital investor did not attend the court hearing at the Napa County Superior Court hearing, which was streamed on Zoom. His attorney Amanda Bevins entered the plea. 

“The terms of his probation include five days in jail, but Pelosi will be given credit for four days,” Judge Joseph Solga said, as per The New York Post.

Deputy District Attorney Aimee McLeod agreed to the probation terms. She told the judge that she has has spoken to the victim, who has sought medical care from a chiropractor. 

As per McLeod, the injured victim, who has not been identified yet, sought restitution from Pelosi. The House Speaker’s husband paid it immediately.

The victim was also paid to replace his totaled car, she added.

Pelosi, as per the complaint, was slurring his words and unsteady on his feet in the moments after the crash. Officers founs him sitting in the driver’s seat of his Porsche

Pelosi, a multimillionaire real estate investor and venture capitalist, allegedly reeked of booze and slurred his words when officers arrived at the scene of the crash and found him , according to the criminal complaint against him.

“His eyes appear red/watery, he was unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred, and he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath,” the complaint reads. 

As per the court documents, Pelosi had a  blood alcohol content of .082%. He was driving home from a friend’s house to River Run, a vineyard that he owns with his wife.
