Six people were reportedly injured, including 1 critically in a mass shooting that took place in a nightclub in Houston Texas on Sunday.
Police Chief Troy Finner said at a news conference that the shooting went down at a club called Tabú Restaurant & Lounge on Richmond Avenue in West Houston. The victims ranged in age from late 20s to early 30s. “Apparently there’s some kind of disturbance inside of the club that came out into the parking lot,” he said.

It is an active investigation and police are reviewing surveillance camera footage in the area. The first responders arrived at the scene after getting reports of a shooting at 2:11 a.m. local time. The victims located in the parking lot of the establishment were administered first aid by the officers.
Five victims are hospitalized and are now in stable condition. Another victim is in a criminal condition after undergoing surgery, Finner said.

The suspect remains unknown and no one is in custody at this time. Apparently, the shooting was an escalation of a “disturbance” that took place inside the club. The disturbance spilled out into the parking lot as the club was shutting down for the night.
“Somebody fired into a crowded parking lot,” Finner said. “We will hold them accountable.”
He also said that the lounge has a history of issues. “They’ve had problems here before and we’re gonna look into that to make sure we’re doing everything we can do,” Finner said.
