One person was hospitalised following a possible robbery at the Hustler Casino in Gardena late Thursday morning. 

Los Angeles County fire officials in a statement said that they were called to the Gardena casino at about 10:15 AM after receiving a report of a gunshot wound. After locating the victim, they were taken to a hospital.

The Hustler Casino is located at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and E. Redondo Boulevard. Gardena is in the South Bay region of Los Angeles.

Police SUVs and at least one armored police vehicle were at the scene, nbclosangeles reported. However, no arrests have been reported yet.

As per local media reporters from the scene, the shooting was connected to an armed robbery attempt. The police are in search of at least one suspect.

No descriptions of the individuals being sought were immediately available.

On Wednesday, Hustler Casino announced the cancellation of its $250,000 guaranteed poker tournament ‘due to unexpected circumstances’. The Los Angeles casino opened last year. 

“Due to unexpected circumstances, we have decided to cancel our remaining dates for our tournament series and the $250,000 guarantee. We will still play day 2 for the players that have already qualified and they will be playing for the current prize pool,” Hustler Casino announced.

Earlier this week, after a 23-year-old waiter at a Mcdonald’s in New York, Matthew Webb served a woman a cold plate of french fries, her son started an argument. After sufficient escalation, the son shot Webb in the neck with a 9 mm handgun. Immediately rushed to Brookdale Hospital, he remains in critical condition.

The woman, reportedly, was on FaceTime with her son when receiving her plate of fries. Her 20-year-old son, identified as Michael Morgan, rushed to the scene. He fled after shooting the waiter in the neck, but New York Police soon caught up with the runaway shooter.
