Interstate-95 in South Philadelphia was closed early on Sunday as a deadly shooting was being investigated.

The Incident occurred near highway exit 20, under the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial, causing police to close down the roadway. The shooting which left a person dead occurred at around 4 a.m. Police responded to reports of drag racing in the area.

Officers investigated the scene along southbound I-95 early Sunday as a car could be seen taped off along the highway.

Officials did not release any more information about the incident. Neither the suspect nor the victim have been identified. The cause of the shooting has also not been revealed.
