After channeling his mental breakdowns by lashing out at several celebrities through muddled posts on social media, American rapper Kanye West has been suspended from Instagram for 24 hours.

West’s suspension comes after the 44-year-old musician posted a racial slur targetting ‘The Daily Show’ host Trevor Noah.

The suspension is a result of violating the social media platform’s policies on bullying, hate speech and harassment, a Meta spokesperson confirmed to multiple international outlets.

Under the suspension, West will not be able to post, comment or perform other actions on Instagram for 24 hours. According to the spokesperson, further action will be taken if necessary.

West’s racial slur comes after Noah talked about the rapper’s internet attacks on former wife Kim Kardashian and her new beau, comedian Pete Davidson during a segment on ‘The Daily Show’.

“You may not feel sorry for Kim because she’s rich and famous,” Noah said during the show.

“But what she’s going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave,” he added.

West then reacted to the comment by replacing the lyrics to ‘Kumbaya’ with a racial slur.

Despite West’s remark, Noah reportedly responded to the post, expressing that he is concerned to see the rapper on a path “that’s dangerously close to peril and pain.”

The talk show host added that although West has every right to fight for his family, he should understand the difference between fighting for them and fighting with them.

“If you’re just joking about it all and I’m an idiot for caring, then so be it. But I’d rather be the idiot who spoke up,” Noah added.

West’s post has been deleted by Instagram.
