Several Twitter users immediately pointed out that 28-year-old Nashville shooter is a biological female who identifies as “He/Him” on their LinkedIn. Authorities believe the transgender shooter previously attended the Christian school.

Nashville police has officially confirmed that the school shooter – Audrey Hale – was a transgender women.
“Police have formally identified Nashville Christian school shooter as Audrey Elisabeth Hale, 28, a resident of Nashville and a transgender (a biological female who identified as He/Him (as male),” a reporter covering Chief John Drake’s press conference tweeted.

“So THIS is the Nashville Shooter. Transgender AUDREY HALE. Authorities BELIEVE the Gender thing may have played a ROLE here. Didn’t we have a MASS SHOOTING in Denver by a “non-binary” individual? FULL INVESTIGATION! ASK QUESTIONS!” another one tweeted.
Audrey Hale was a Nashville resident and was armed with two assault-style rifles and a handgun when she was confronted by five officers, Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake said. The 28-year-old attended the Covenant School but it is unclear when. Police said an online profile listed her as working in Commercial Illustration and Graphic Design.
Officers said that they received a call about an active shooter at 10:13 AM. They were quick to clear the first floor of the school after hearing gunshots coming from the second. Hale was shot by police officers at 10:27 AM, officials said.
