Ivana Trump, the first wife of former US President Donald Trump, died Thursday aged 73 at her home in New York City. The Czech-American businesswoman married four times.

Her first marriage was to Alfred Winklmayr – an Austrian skier. Ivana married Alfred because she wanted to secure Austrian nationality. They were married for two years.

Ivana married Donald Trump in 1977. The two have three children – Donald Jr. in 1977, Ivanka in 1981, and Eric in 1984. She became a naturalized United States citizen in 1988.

Her marriage with Trump ended after the latter started having an affair with television personality, and model Marla Maples. The duo finalized their divorce in 1992. As part of a divorce settlement, Ivana received several million dollars, a 45-room mansion in Connecticut, and an apartment in the Trump Plaza.

Ivana married Italian entrepreneur and international businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli in November 1995. The two ended their marriage in 1997. The same year, she filed a $15 million breach of contract suit against her former husband for violating the confidentiality clause in their prenuptial agreement. Mazzucchelli sued Ivana and Donald Trump in a British court for libel. However, the suit was later settled under undisclosed terms.

Just after finalizing her divorce with Mazzucchelli, Ivana started dating Italian aristocrat Count Roffredo Gaetani dell’Aquila d’Aragona Lovatelli. The two dated until Lovatelli died in 2005.

Trump dated Italian actor and model Rossano Rubicondi for six years before the two got married on April 12, 2008. At the time of marriage, Ivana was 59 years old while her husband Rubicondi was 36. The wedding took place in the presence of 400 guests. The ceremony was hosted by her ex-husband Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago with daughter Ivanka as her maid of honor.

The wedding was officiated by Trump’s ex-sister-in-law Judge Maryanne Trump Barry.

Less than a year later, Ivana and Rubicondi announced their divorce. But the two continued to be in an on-again, off-again relationship until 2019. Rubicondi died on October 29, 2021, at the age of 49.
