Former US President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband Jared Kushner was seen hanging out with Qatari Prime Minister Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani on Thursday at FIFA World Cup 2022.

The high-profile couple, both of who served as close aides to Trump when he was in office, was in the audience at Brazil versus Serbia game along with their three children — Arabella, 11, Joseph, 9, and Theodore, 6 — at the Lusail Stadium. Throughout the match, the two of them were seen conversing with politicians and Middle Eastern businessmen.

At one point, Trump’s eldest daughter, dressed in a long-sleeved white midi dress, was pictured engaging with the Qatari prime minister. Photos showed her laughing with the Middle Eastern leader in what appeared to be a private box within the stadium. Kushner, on the other hand, was pictured deep in conversation with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, a Qatari billionaire businessman and president of the French soccer club, Paris Saint-Germain.

It is no secret that Kushner had repeatedly traveled to the Middle East for peace talks within his assigned role throughout the Trump administration.

Many people on social media trolled the couple after they were seen rubbing shoulders with Qatari royalty. “Of course Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are at the World Cup hanging out with Qatari royalty, politicians, and businessmen. Got to keep those pockets lined somehow,” one said.

Another commented, “Do you think that they went there for another $2 billion hand out?”

The World Cup pit stop for the Kushner family came after the family spent several days vacationing in Egypt. The family left for vacation earlier this week.

The vacation came shortly after Ivanka skipped her father’s 2024 campaign announcement at Mar-a-Lago, Florida estate and later revealed why.

“I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics,” she said in a statement at the time.

“While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena,” she added. “I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our administration’s accomplishments.”
