First daughter and the senior aide to US President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, has reportedly bought an expensive plot of land for a house in Florida and is considering a Senate run from the state, a Guardian report said.

Ivanka, who has mentioned frequently desiring her own political career, has sought herself as a more media-friendly version than her father, Trump. Ivanka’s post-White House political career is now centered on Florida.

According to a CNN source, Ivanka, who “definitely has political ambitions,” “wants to run for something”, which still needs to be figured out.

Florida’s Republican incumbent Marco Rubio’s seat is up for re-election for the 2022 Senate race. Rubio, once, was a vocal critic of Trump in the 2016 Republican nomination race but turned into a  loyal supporter of the outgoing US President after he won the election.

Adam C Smith, former Tampa Bay Times political editor and now a consultant with Mercury Public Affairs, says, “I think she’d be the immediate frontrunner if she ran for US Senate against Rubio, given her father’s popularity in the Sunshine State,” quoted CNN.
