The Johnson County District Court had not yet made the case mentioned in the booking report available. His arraignment is set for Friday at 1:30.

Mahomes is suspected of assaulting a waiter and the restaurant’s owner on February 25 at a location close to West 151st Street and Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park, according to a previous police confirmation.

In two separate incidents, Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is accused of repeatedly pushing a waiter, age 19, and forcibly kissing the owner, age 40, of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge, located at 6995 West 151st Street.

Aspen Vaughn, the owner of the restaurant, previously told The Star that police stated they were looking into the establishment’s CCTV camera tapes from that evening as part of their investigation.

Mahomes’ previous defense was that he didn’t do anything wrong. On Wednesday morning, The Star was unable to immediately get in touch with the lawyer.

In interviews with The Star at the beginning of March, Vaughn and the waiter both described their interactions with Mahomes.

Mahomes entered the restaurant that evening with a group of approximately five pals, according to the waiter, who in earlier interviews with The Star requested anonymity.

Mahomes, a social media influencer, and his group entered the restaurant’s basement office, and when the waiter tried to enter to fetch his water bottle, they reportedly wouldn’t let him in. The waiter claimed that Mahomes then shoved him and told him to leave.

Soon later, according to Vaughn, Mahomes sought to have a private conversation with her regarding the shoving incident. Mahomes allegedly gripped Vaughn’s neck in her office so hard that it produced a slight mark that was later shown in a photo she gave The Star.

In addition, Vaughn gave The Star a video that she said showed Mahomes kissing her at least twice and holding her by the throat in her office shortly after 10 p.m.

She described the actions as unwelcome and surprising, adding that she believed he was intoxicated. “He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere,” she added.

The hearing for arraignment has been scheduled for Friday, May 5, at 1:30.
